The National Football League (NFL) owners recently locked out the players, effectively shutting down the game of professional football in America, because of a dispute over certain issues in their collective bargaining agreement (CBA); which needed to be renewed. Derogatory comments by both sides in the dispute are seen by many as preventing any real negotiations, and if it continues, the 2011 season could actually be in jeopardy. The NFL isn't the only major sports organization that is facing those issues, though.
