Players with most rebounds in a game in NBA history since 1986-87 (Associated Content)

In the late 1950s and through the 1960s Bill Russell (8 times) and Wilt Chamberlain (14 times) had 22 games combined in which one of them grabbed at least 40 rebounds in a game. The only other players in NBA history to grab at least 40 rebounds in a game are Nate Thurmond who grabbed 42 in a November 1965 game, and Jerry Lucas who grabbed 40 in a February 1964 game. Combined Russell and Chamberlain had ten games in which one of them grabbed at least 43 rebounds.
