Warriors Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

Any kind of rivalry between the Warriors and Kings, who are separated by just 90 miles geographically, has long since faded away. That's what happens when pretty much every matchup in a series over the course of, oh, about 15 years is meaningless in terms of the NBA's grand scheme of things.

But now something has sprung up that has Warriors fans watching the Kings more closely than at any point in almost two decades: DeMarcus Cousins.

Some Warriors fans were praying the one-year Kentucky standout would fall to Golden State with the fifth pick in last June's draft. He was the type of big man the Warriors hadn't had since a similarly built young big man out of North Carolina State named Chris Washburn was tabbed with the third pick of the 1986 draft.
