When the Miami Heat cruised to an NBA championship during the 2005-06 season, fans breathed a collective sigh of relief, and I promptly spoke of a dynasty. Of course, that never came to fruition. Instead, the pieces began to fall apart. Foremost, Aging center Shaquille O'Neal started just 39 games the following season and left for Phoenix in a trade in 2008. O'Neal had been the second-leading scorer behind Dwyane Wade, and he wasn't the only one to depart.
