Timberwolves' Milicic, Pekovic out with injuries (AP)

Minnesota center Darko Milicic and forward Nikola Pekovic were ruled out of the Timberwolves' game against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night after each sustained ankle injuries the night before in a loss at Portland. The Nuggets, meanwhile, were without guard Chauncey Billups, who missed a third consecutive game because of a partially torn ligament in his right wrist.
