Lakers Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)
Andrew Bynum is back in the Lakers' starting lineup, and they hope that means the team's potent offense is, too.
Bynum started for the first time this season when the Lakers sought to snap a three-game losing streak in New Orleans on Wednesday night. He delivered 18 points, and the Lakers won with 103, the first time they'd scored that much since Dec. 19 at Toronto.
The Lakers had scored 120 in Toronto but then fizzled with 79 versus Milwaukee, 80 versus Miami and 82 at San Antonio. They lost all three games, prompting Phil Jackson to move Lamar Odom (24 points Wednesday) to the bench and the offense to take off.

Top five best 2010 Cleveland sports moments (Associated Content)
It's not easy being a Cleveland sports fan, but even in 2010, there were moments that could make any Cleveland fan smile. The moments might be few and far between, but they show promise for a sports town which is aching for a championship. Here are what I consider to be the best sports moments of 2010 for Cleveland and its' fans. Hopefully in 2011, it will be much harder to decide which moments make the cut. Peyton Hillis trade - On March 14th 2010, the Cleveland Browns made what could go down as the greatest trade in franchise history.

Williams scores 22 points to lift Jazz over Bucks (AP)
It took Al Jefferson and the rest of the Jazz 24 hours to get over how badly they played in New Orleans. Good thing Utah never seems to repeat a poor performance. Deron Williams scored 22 points and added 11 assists, leading the Jazz past the Milwaukee Bucks 95-86 and overcoming a double-digit deficit for the ninth time this season on Saturday night.

Mavs' end Heat 12-game streak, beat Miami 98-96 (AP)
The streak-busters of the NBA hail from Dallas. And for whatever reason, unless there's a championship at stake, the Miami Heat simply cannot beat the Mavericks. Dirk Nowitzki scored 26 points, Jason Terry had all of his 19 in the final 11 minutes, and the Mavericks held LeBron James scoreless in the first half on the way to ending Miami's 12-game winning streak with a 98-96 victory on...

Miller upset about suspension (AP)
Trail Blazers guard Andre Miller is critical of the suspension that ended a consecutive games-played streak that dated back to 2003. Miller missed Tuesday's 106-99 victory over the Suns because of the league-imposed one-game suspension for making "excessive and unnecessary contact" with Clippers forward Blake Griffin in a game Sunday.

The Indiana Pacers had proven they could score with any team in recent years, but their defense had struggled under coach Jim O'Brien. Not anymore. Every year is a great sports year in Atlanta. Not only are ATL residents blessed with four exciting professional sports teams, the Metro Atlanta area is loaded with so much college action it's hard to keep up with. Fan reaction: Should Allen Iverson be a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer? (Associated Content)
Maybe this is a ridiculous question. For a long time people have been saying that Allen Iverson is a lock for the NBA's Hall of Fame. For the last several years, that certainty seemed to be the only thing not subject to change about Allen Iverson, as his level of play, his team, and even the country he calls home have all changed. I've been an Iverson fan since the first time I saw him play. On a Philadelphia 76ers team with Aaron McKie and Eric Snow, Iverson put on a show every night.

Mavericks Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)
One of the knocks on Rick Carlisle early in his Dallas coaching career was the lack of a consistent rotation. Players privately grumbled, especially on the second team, that they were unsure of when they were going to play or how they would be used.
Carlisle's response was to always be ready. While it makes sense that professional athletes should also be prepared, that message didn't always come across to certain Mavericks.
Those days seem to have passed. While Carlisle may still try different combinations, particularly in crunch time, everyone seems to be on the same page now. And a fairly consistent rotation has developed.
The addition of DeShawn Stevenson to the starting lineup has solidified that group of Dirk Nowitzki, Jason Kidd, Tyson Chandler and Shawn Marion.

New Orleans pro basketball: The definitive history (Associated Content)
New Orleans pro basketball history Born in New Orleans in the 1970s, my earliest basketball memories were of the late great "Pistol" Pete Maravich and the New Orleans Jazz. But just when I became old enough to start following the Jazz seriously, they moved to Utah. Fortunately, the Hornets later moved to New Orleans and I can now watch Chris Paul, one of the greatest point guards in history. But the history of pro basketball in New Orleans is much richer than a couple of NBA franchises.
