There is something magical about a New York sports arena when the moment is special. I was reminded of this phenomenon during the Carmelo Anthony gala reception (February 23) against the sacrificial lamb Milwaukee Bucks. Of all the New York sports venues, Madison Square Garden still remains the elite in terms of electricity. Certainly, there has been unparalleled theater at Yankee Stadium, Shea Stadium, the Meadowlands, etc. Everyone can point back to their own recollections of memorable moments at these playgrounds.
