New Orleans Hornets buzz On Wednesday, the New Orleans Hornets traded G Marcus Thornton to the Sacramento Kings for F Carl Landry. As a Hornets fan, I have been very pleased with rookie head coach Monty Williams. But I never understood why he wouldn't give Thornton more playing time. For the first time since last season, Oklahoma City has lost three in a row. The last setback came Sunday afternoon at home as the Los Angeles Lakers nipped the Thunder 90-87 before a national TV audience.

Thunder coach Scott Brooks has gone with an altered rotation since Thursday's trade with Boston that subtracted starters Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic. Brooks has yet to use newcomers Kendrick Perkins, Nate Robinson and Nazr Mohammed.

As a result, Nick Collison and Serge Ibaka have been elevated from the second team to the starting lineup, with players such as Cole Aldrich and Daequan Cook getting minutes they normally didn't receive.

It hasn't been smooth so far. The Thunder's shooting percentage in Friday's loss at was a measly 33.

Most people know the most points ever scored in a NBA game is 100 by Wilt Chamberlain. But how many people know what the record is for most points scored in one half in an NBA game? Nuggets Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

The Nets and Nuggets have agreed on the framework of a trade that would send Carmelo Anthony to New Jersey, if Anthony will agree to a three-year, $65 million extension with the Nets.

But while Anthony vacillates, the Knicks have upped the ante in the Carmelo sweepstakes.

According to the Bergen (N.J.) Record, the Nets' deal would send Anthony, veteran point guard Chauncey Billups and forwards Shelden Williams, Melvin Ely and Renaldo Balkman to the Nets in exchange for rookie forward Derrick Favors, point guard Devin Harris, guard Ben Uzoh, forward Troy Murphy and his expiring contract, along with four first-round picks. The Nuggets reportedly would look to deal one or two of those first-round picks, plus Murphy, to a third team afterwards.

These are all the players in NBA history who were the MVP of the All-Star game at least twice. The NBA All-Star game was played every year from 1951 to 1998. Over those 47 years only 6 players won the All-Star game MVP Award and are not in the NBA Hall of Fame including Mitch Richmond who has a decent shot to still get in. The All-Star game was not played in 1999 due to the lockout. Since 1999 the All-Star game MVP has been won each year by players who will be elected to the Hall of Fame.

Triple-doubles by NBA teammates in the same game (Associated Content)

Officially triple-doubles by teammates in the same game have occurred just twice in the NBA since 1986. But the league did not start counting steals and blocked shots as stats until the 1973-74 season so it is quite possible it has happened more than twice. A triple-double is when a player records double figures in three of the following stats in a game - points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocked shots. What I love about this stat is that my team the New Jersey Nets is a huge part of it.

Given the option of watching any team in the NBA on any given night, what team would you choose? Let's expand that scenario a little and ask this question: If you could get a mini-league pass to watch the games of any four NBA teams, which teams would you sign up to watch? I asked myself this question. Actually I started to make a chart of the top five most exciting teams in the NBA but quickly discovered that, in my opinion, there are four clear-cut, stand-out teams and choosing a fifth most exciting team was nearly impossible.
