Pacers Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

The Pacers aren't kidding themselves. They know a lot of things have to fall into place in order for them to end their four-year playoff drought.

Forward Danny Granger has to make a renewed commitment to the defensive end of the court.

The Pacers have to stay relatively healthy all season. Guard Mike Dunleavy has to return to being the player who averaged 19 points a game during the 2007-08 season.

The young players have to play like veterans. The Pacers must be a decent defensive team.

And even then, there's still no guarantee the Pacers will make the playoffs.

"There's pressure on all of us to be a playoff team, to be one that is involved in a playoff race," coach Jim O'Brien said.
