The forward is the most unique position in basketball. Power forwards are generally larger players whose contribution normally comes in the paint. They're similar to a smaller center. The small forward is often the most versatile player on the team. Small forwards are often tweeners between the power forward and shooting guard position. Magic Johnson was one of the NBA's all-time greatest point guards. Still, he was flexible enough to occasional fill in at power forward at 6'9" and 255 pounds.
