The Kings got tougher and more athletic through trades and the draft, but suddenly the start of the season is clouded by questions regarding the health of the new big men.

Sacramento drafted DeMarcus Cousins in the first round and 7-foot shot-blocking ace Hassan Whiteside in the second. In a swap of centers, the Kings acquired Samuel Dalembert for underachieving Spencer Hawes, but Dalembert will miss the first month of the regular season with a groin strain. This is a blow as Dalembert, the starting center, has not missed a game in five seasons. He has played in 354 consecutive games, the third-longest active streak in the league. The injury prevented Dalembert from practicing in training camp.

The loss of Dalembert means the Kings really haven't improved on the inside...
