The NBA hasn't had a truly dominant big man since the retirement of Hakeem Olajuwon and before the regressions of Shaquille O'Neal and Tim Duncan. Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard are solid players, but they haven't been as great as the centers that revolutionized the sports throughout the 1960s and into the 2000s. These are five of the greatest centers in NBA history. This listing may exclude center/forward hybrids if they're foreseen to be forwards (Tim Duncan).
