The Trail Blazers got some rest and the first-round playoff matchup they desired.

Portland fell 110-86 to Golden State in Wednesday night's regular-season windup at Oracle Arena.

Coach Nate McMillan chose to sit out five of his top eight players—starters LaMarcus Aldridge, Gerald Wallace and Marcus Camby and key reserves Nicolas Batum and Brandon Roy.

All will be well-rested when the Blazers (48-34) begin the playoffs Saturday at Dallas.

Portland, the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference, split four games with the third-seeded Mavericks this season, but won the last two. The Blazers, who won eight of their final 12 games, feel good about the way they match up with the Mavs, who have had their struggles over the final month of the regular season.
