The Suns team that ended a 40-42 season with a win over the Spurs had just five players that were on the team last May when Phoenix swept San Antonio in the Western Conference semifinals.

Many of the newcomers—Aaron Brooks, Vince Carter, Josh Childress, Mikael Pietrus—could be short-timers. Some of the survivors—Robin Lopez in particular—might not be around when training camp opens on the other side of an impending labor dispute.

But for the long-term survivors—starters Jared Dudley, Channing Frye, Grant Hill and Steve Nash—putting this season behind them can't come fast enough.
